Privacy Policy
Last updated October 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ReShare AI collects, uses, shares and deletes personal data when you use our website (reshare.ai) and our iOS and Android apps (together, the “Service”). We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
1. Who we are
The Service is provided by Optijara AI LLC, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates (“Optijara”, “we”, “us”). Optijara AI LLC is the controller of your personal data. For any privacy question or request, contact us through our Support page (start the title with “Privacy”). We answer privacy requests within 30 days.
2. What we collect and how
- Account data, from your sign-in provider when you sign in with Google, Apple or an email address: your email address, a user id, and the name and profile picture the provider shares. With Sign in with Apple you may hide your email address, and we keep a token from Apple so we can revoke Apple sign-in when you delete your account.
- Content you provide: the images and descriptions you give a character, the videos you upload, and the links to videos you paste (we download the video from the link). Characters are created by AI and can be anything (a person, an animal, an object). We do not use your content to identify anyone.
- Content we create for you: the character pictures and the swapped videos made from your content, and the cover frames you pick.
- Social accounts you connect: the account name, picture and network, and the access the network grants so we can post for you. The access tokens are held by our posting provider (Outstand), not on your device.
- Posts and analytics: the captions, titles, schedules and comments you write, where each post went, its link, and the view and engagement numbers the networks report for your posts.
- Purchases: your plan, its renewal date, the packs you buy and your remaining allowance. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never receive or store your card details.
- Device data: in the apps, a push notification token for each device (if you turn notifications on), the platform and the app’s language; your notification settings.
- Agreements: when you accepted the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, confirmed you have the rights to the videos you use, and agreed to or withdrew AI processing (version, time, language and platform).
- Support and reports: your messages to Support and, if the app crashes or you send a request, diagnostic details (the page, browser or device, and error messages, with secrets removed). Reports you file about content, and reports others file about yours.
- Agents and API keys: the names, permissions and last use of API keys you create for agents (we store only a hash of each key).
- Technical logs: when you sign in, IP address, browser or app version, and server logs our hosting providers keep for security and troubleshooting.
We use a sign-in cookie and a language cookie, and store small settings (such as the theme) on your device. We use no advertising or analytics trackers and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
3. Why we use it (and the legal basis)
- To provide the Service you asked for (performance of our contract with you): your account, creating characters and videos, storing them, posting where and when you ask, billing your plan, sending the notifications you turned on, and answering Support.
- AI processing of the images and videos you provide (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time, see section 4).
- Safety and security (our legitimate interests, and legal obligations): preventing abuse, checking content against our rules, reviewing reports, protecting accounts and keeping the Service running.
- Legal obligations: tax and accounting records of payments, and answering lawful requests from authorities.
We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell, rent or share your personal data for advertising.
4. AI providers and your consent
Images and videos you provide are processed by our AI providers (Kling, OpenAI) to create your content. Before the first AI use we ask for your consent in the app, with a clear notice: you tick a box and tap Continue yourself; closing the notice is not consent. We record your choice. You can withdraw it any time in Settings → Privacy & data → AI processing; we then start no new AI processing, and creating characters and swaps stops until you allow it again. Work you already started may still finish, and withdrawing does not affect processing that already happened.
- OpenAI receives a character’s description and the image you give it, to draw the character’s pictures. Under its API terms OpenAI may keep what it receives for a limited time to monitor abuse, and then deletes it.
- Kling AI (Kuaishou) receives the character’s pictures, the video you picked and your directions, to make the swapped video. Kling stores the character’s pictures as a reusable character while your character exists; we delete it there when you delete the character or your account.
Both apply their own safety filters and may refuse content; we also run an automated check that blocks nudity and sexual content in character images. Under their terms, the AI providers use your content to provide their service to us.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with these service providers, each for the purpose stated, and only as much as that purpose needs:
- Google Firebase (sign-in, our database, Android notifications) and Apple (Sign in with Apple, iOS notifications)
- Vercel (hosting the website and servers) and Cloudflare R2 (storing images and videos)
- OpenAI and Kling AI (AI processing, section 4)
- Outstand (connecting your social accounts and posting for you)
- Stripe (payments and invoices)
- Optijara Support (our support desk and crash reports)
We require each of them, by contract or by their published terms, to protect your data to at least the standard of this policy and to use it only to provide their service to us. The same applies to any company that later becomes part of, or controls, Optijara.
Social networks. When you post, the video and text you chose go, at your request, to the networks you picked (such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or Facebook). Once published, the post is governed by that network’s own terms and privacy policy. A public watch page (for link posts) shows the video, title and caption to anyone with its link until you turn it off or delete the video.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it, to protect people’s safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (with notice to you).
6. International transfers
Our providers process data in several countries, including the United States, the European Union and Singapore (Kling’s API). When we transfer personal data out of your country we rely on the safeguards the applicable law provides for, such as standard contractual clauses or the provider’s certified transfer framework.
7. How long we keep it
- Your account, characters, videos, uploads and posts: until you delete them or your account.
- The copy of a source video we keep to make a video: 30 days, then it is removed automatically (the finished video stays).
- Usage history and notification settings: while your account exists.
- Agreement records: while your account exists, then 3 years after you delete it (below).
- Reports about content, including reports others filed about yours: as long as needed to review them and to protect the Service, also after an account is deleted.
- Payment and invoice records: kept by Stripe for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Security logs: for a limited time set by our hosting providers; account-deletion records keep an internal account id (and, for 3 years, the agreement record below).
- After you delete your account: your email address, the record of what you agreed to (version, time, language, platform) and the links of videos you published (with the source link used), kept for 3 years to establish or defend legal claims (our legitimate interests), then deleted.
8. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and all its data yourself, at any time:
- In the app: Settings → Privacy & data → Delete account.
- On the web: reshare.ai/account/delete (sign in, then Delete account). If you can’t sign in, request it there by email; we confirm your address with a code.
Deleting your account first cancels a paid plan (so you are not charged again), then deletes your account and sign-in, characters and their images (including the reusable character stored at Kling), videos, uploads, posts, schedules and public watch links, connected social accounts (our access is revoked), devices, notification settings, usage history and API keys. It usually completes right away and always within 30 days. The page shows the outcome when you delete it yourself; for an email request we reply to confirm.
What we keep: invoices and payment records held by Stripe as the law requires; the record of what you agreed to, with your email address and the links of videos you published, for 3 years to establish or defend legal claims; a record of the deletion under an internal account id and security log entries; reports others filed about your content, as long as needed to protect the Service; and Support conversations until you ask us to delete them. Videos you already published on a social network are your posts there: delete them on that network.
You can also delete a single character, or a video that isn’t published or still being made, at any time; that removes its files and any public link to it. Our copy of a published video is deleted with your account.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- access your data and get a copy of it (Settings → Privacy & data → Download my data gives you a file at any time);
- correct it, or have it deleted;
- object to or restrict some processing, and withdraw consent (for AI processing, in Settings);
- data portability (the export is a machine-readable JSON file).
If you appear in a video or image someone else used on ReShare AI, you can ask us to remove it through Support (start the title with “Privacy”) or with Report on its watch page.
To use any right, use the in-app tools above or contact us through Support. We may confirm it is your account first. You can also complain to a data protection authority, such as the UAE Data Office or the authority where you live in the EU or UK.
10. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), private storage reached only through short-lived signed links, signed session cookies, access controls for our staff, and stored hashes instead of API key secrets. No service is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
11. Children
ReShare AI is only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we delete it.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. If a change is material we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and the date above always shows the latest version.
